Senior Credit Controller (m/f/d)
Are you a finance professional who enjoys combining analytical insight with business partnership? To strengthen our Finance team at our Belgian Headquarters, we are looking for a Senior Credit Controller who will help protect cash flow, reduce credit risk and build trusted relationships across our international organisation.
In this role, you will be a key partner for the business, helping us make sound credit decisions and maintain healthy customer relationships. You will assess creditworthiness, follow up on overdue payments and translate financial risk into clear, practical advice for colleagues across our European business units. As Senior Credit Controller at Tosoh, you will report to the Vice President Finance, ICT & HR and collaborate closely with Finance, Sales and colleagues in different countries.
Your responsibilities
- Continuously improve the credit collection reporting system
- Work with customers and colleagues to resolve credit topics in a constructive and solution-focused way
- Follow up overdue accounts and negotiate payment terms with professionalism and confidence
- Analyse customer creditworthiness and provide risk assessments, including tailored mitigation techniques such as letters of credit or credit insurance
- Determine and adjust customer credit limits based on risk, payment behavior and business needs
- Consolidate accounts receivable results from all business units
- Monitor bad debts, past-due accounts and high-risk customers across business units, inclose collaboration with the commercial team
- Provide clear, business-oriented credit advice to management, sales, finance and other departments
- Interact and negotiate with financial service providers, including banks and credit insurance companies, to mitigate risk across the business units
- Ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct, the Quality Management System, the Company Policies and the Corporate Procedures
Who we are looking for
- You have a higher degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting or a related field
- You bring at least 5 years of experience in credit control, collections, accounts receivable or a similar finance role
- You enjoy working in an international, multicultural environment
- You are willing to travel occasionally, up to 20% of your working time

- You have excellent MS Office skills
- SAP knowledge is an asset
- You communicate with confidence, empathy and professionalism, both with customers and internal stakeholders
- You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch, German or French is a plus
- You are accurate, reliable and resilient, with a positive attitude towards deadlines and changing priorities
