Description
Fertility depends on the precise coordination of multiple biological factors. Hormones produced by the hypothalamus, pituitary and thyroid glands, as well as the ovaries and testicles, play a crucial role in regulating and supporting reproductive function. An imbalance in reproductive hormones can result in infertility in both males and females. In females, fertility hormones are essential for controlling ovulation and enabling implantation of the embryo in the uterus. In males, hormonal imbalances can interfere with sperm production and quality, potentially leading to infertility. Fertility hormone testing is therefore an important tool for assessing an individual’s reproductive health and fertility status.
