ST AIA-PACK KL-6 is designed for in-vitro diagnostic use for the quantitative measurement of KL-6 in human serum on TOSOH AIA systems.
Part #: 0025244
Manufacturers:
Krebs von den Lungen-6 (KL-6) is a high molecular weight glycoprotein that was originally discovered as a circulating adenocarcinoma-associated antigen. KL-6, a human mucin MUC-1 protein mainly expressed on type II pneumocytes, is a sensitive serum marker for interstitial lung diseases. KL-6 levels are significantly higher in patients with interstitial pneumonia than in the healthy controls and in patients with other respiratory organs illness. Moreover, KL-6 levels are useful for evaluating disease activity and predicting the clinical outcomes of various interstitial lung disease types.
