ST AIA-PACK TPOAb

Anti-thyroid antibodies, especially anti-microsomal antibodies and anti-thyroglobulin antibodies have been shown to be relevant to autoimmune thyroid disease such as Graves’ disease and Hashimoto’s disease. For the detection of the anti-microsomal antibodies, some methods based on the thyroid microsomal fraction-coated cell or particles were available. Recently, the major component of the antigen recognized by the anti-microsomal antibodies was identified as the thyroid peroxidase (TPO). The findings have led to some sensitive and specific assays for the anti-microsomal antibodies that are anti-TPO antibodies (TPOAb) using TPO antigen. AIA-PACK TPOAb is an enzyme immunoassay reagent to measure concentrations of TPOAb in human serum or heparinized plasma using TPO antigen-coated beads and mouse anti-human IgG monoclonal antibody labeled with alkaline phosphatase.
