Part #: Refer to the IFUs
Manufacturers:
Steroid hormones are a class of hormones derived from cholesterol that function as chemical messengers within the body. In humans, they are synthesized primarily in the adrenal cortex, gonads and placenta. Once produced, steroid hormones are transported through the bloodstream to target tissues, where they regulate a wide range of physiological processes.
Sex steroid hormones, including testosterone, progesterone and estradiol, play essential roles in sexual differentiation, the development of secondary sexual characteristics and the regulation of sexual behaviour. Another key steroid hormone, cortisol, which is secreted by the adrenal cortex, is involved in mediating the body’s stress response and regulating metabolism, inflammation and immune system function.
